Our client is a leading Pan Asian hybrid, hyperscale data centre developer with assets located in Hong Kong, Singapore, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Indonesia and expanding footprints in SEA regions.
Following continued success both locally and regionally, this leading developer is now searching for a Physical Security Manager to join their team on a full-time basis in Hong Kong.
Reporting to Head – Global Physical Security, the Security Manager will manage end-to-end security management (e.g. Access Control Systems, CCTV Surveillance System) in this organization’s Hong Kong data centres. This Security Manager will implement security policy, investigate violations and resolve security concerns at the data centres. Additionally, they will manage active security incidents, respond to all critical events and liaise with public safety.
Other responsibilities will include but not be limited to :
- Take responsibility for the Physical Security 24 / 7 / 365 environment, as well as client physical security needs and manage, the execution of day to day operations of physical security.
- Develop and implement physical security policies and procedures to safeguard the facilities, assets, and personnel.
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend security improvements.
- Oversee management of security vendors, providing guard force staffing and manage budget for all security services on location.
- Manage Access Control Systems, CCTV Surveillance System, and security personnel to monitor and control access to facilities.
- Respond to security incidents, conducting investigations, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
- Collaborate and work closely with cross-functional teams such as Design and Build Team / IT Team / Operations Team / Sales to ensure that Global Physical Security Standards and Guidelines are met.
- Keep abreast of emerging security threats, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance the organization’s security posture.
- Handle and supervise investigations of all security and safety incidents and accidents and communicate all findings and recommendations.
- Inspect all potential hazards within the Data Centres in terms of fire, life, health, safety and security, and file reports on precautions purpose.
- Conduct awareness training and risk assessments.
- Review, audit and enforce security design elements for all new data centre construction on location.
- Conduct site visits to assess the state and health of physical security, document issues needing improvement, and drive to resolution.
- Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspects of our data centre operations.
To be a successful candidate in this position, the correct applicant must possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of 2 years of this being within a Data Centre or mission critical environment.
Other requirements for this position will include but not be limited to :
A Higher Diploma in Security Management or bachelor’s degree in management or equivalent.Experience with security technologies, including CCTV, Access Control, Incident Management Systems and Security Operations Centres.Experience in conducting investigations, including criminal, human resources and safety incidents. Experience in data centre and security system elements of design.Experience working on active construction sites and providing safety / security countermeasures.Excellent communication skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.The role will include the management of incident, which may occur at any point within a 24 hour period therefore a capability and willingness to attend work outside of usual working hours.Having experience in Occupational Health and Safety Management would be an advantage.Operational Process Re-engineering and Communications skillsGood command of English and Chinese, both written and oral.This is a great opportunity for a security professional to join a growing hyperscale data centre developer in Hong Kong.
