Essential Job Functions
- Roles in this function are accountable for developing and implementing plans to drive Oncology business. In doing so, they collaborate with medical societies, KOLs, and cross-functional teams to support the achievement of defined programs / objectives for the product(s) and / or therapeutic segments developed by Gilead.
- Candidates require comprehensive KOL engagement and business acumen
Specific Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution : Develop and implement comprehensive business plans and revenue forecasts for oncology products, aligned with corporate objectives.Stakeholder Engagement : Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), medical societies, and other critical stakeholders.Cross-Functional Leadership : Collaborate with internal teams including Medical Affairs, Market Access, Finance, Sales, and Legal to ensure cohesive execution of brand strategies.Innovation Leadership : Champion innovative approaches to product promotion, education, and stakeholder engagement. Identify and implement new tools, technologies, and strategies to enhance brand impact and customer experience.Field & Market Access Readiness : Lead efforts to ensure field readiness and optimal market access for Oncology products. Collaborate with different stakeholders to develop access strategies, support contract negotiations, and field execution.Knowledge, Experience, and Skills
Proven ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences, with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.Demonstrated experience in fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment that values diverse perspectives and encourages open dialogue.Track record of applying innovative thinking to solve complex business challenges and drive brand differentiation in competitive markets.Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.Experience working in cross-functional, matrixed teams, with the ability to influence without direct authority.Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in oncology, with experience in product launches and lifecycle management.Criteria :
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sciences, Pharmacy or related fields. MBA or other advanced business degree is desired.10 years of experience in sales and marketing role in pharmaceutical industries required; at least 2 years in marketing.Oncology market experience / knowledge is required – Breast Cancer / Lung Cancer preferred.Experience with Advocacy, Community and Drug enlistment are preferred.New product launch experience preferred.Demonstrated strong business acumen.English fluency is required for global and regional collaborationsFor Current Gilead Employees and Contractors :
