The Challenges

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support business growth in Hong Kong and China.
  • Drive workforce planning, talent acquisition, and retention strategies to meet organizational needs.
  • Lead organizational development initiatives, including succession planning and leadership development.
  • Analyze HR metrics to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Oversee end-to-end HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, onboarding / offboarding, and employee records management.
  • Ensure compliance with Hong Kong and China labor laws, including employment contracts, visa / work permits, and statutory requirements.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling in accordance with local regulations.
  • Review and update HR policies and procedures to align with legal changes and best practices.
  • Talent Acquisition & Management

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for Hong Kong and China, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top talent.
  • Develop employer branding strategies to attract and retain high-performing employees.
  • Implement performance management systems, including goal-setting, appraisals, and career development plans.
  • Drive learning & development programs to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Compensation & Benefits

  • Manage compensation benchmarking and ensure competitive salary structures for Hong Kong and China.
  • Administer employee benefits programs (e.g., MPF, insurance, bonuses) and ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Conduct periodic salary reviews and promotions in line with company policies.
  • Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Foster a positive work culture aligned with company values across both locations.
  • Organize employee engagement initiatives, team-building activities, and wellness programs.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on HR-related matters.
  • What It Takes

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Masters degree or HR certification preferred)
  • 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role covering Hong Kong and China
  • In-depth knowledge of Hong Kong and China labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices
  • Strong experience in HR strategy, talent management, and operational HR
  • Proven track record in recruitment, compensation & benefits, and employee relations
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin (Cantonese is a plus).
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in a multinational company (MNC) or fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
  • Working experience in Semiconductor distribution industries will be a bonus.
