Responsibilities

Providepliance analysis and signoffs for private credit, private equity and real estate pipeline deals in APAC, with a focus on North Asia transactions Identify & keep abreast on all investmentpliance requirements and work in collaboration with the respective countrypliance officers to serve as a central point of coordination of deal related matters across asset classes Coordinate filings and reporting to ensurepliance with regulatory and filing requirements ( substantial shareholding reporting obligations) Provide local connectivity and leadership in driving and implementing regulatory changes impacting investment activities and processes ( market sounding regulations, market abuse regulations) Establish and implement a local Investmentpliance program that is consistent with regional and global standards Update the firm on new and updatedpliance requirements and develop, review, and modify policies and systems accordingly Supportpliance with relevant Ares global and regional internal processes and policies Undertakepliance control functions andpliance monitoring programs, as appropriate, including the development of trackers and reports to confirmpliance Handle and manage various internalpliance monitoring and deal conflict management matters within the group Handle intra-group reporting and coordinate with various stakeholders within the group Conductpliance trainings to new hires as well as the development and delivery ofpliance training programs to enhance awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements Provide technical guidance to management and employees onpliance matters, including interpretation of applicable regulatory and internal policy requirements Provide guidance on variouspliance considerations associated with deals in APAC, , Conflicts, MNPI, KYC / AML, FATCA / CRS, local personal data protection requirements, among other applicable regulations Perform ad-hoc assignments as required

Education :

  • Bachelors degree required, preferably with exceptional academic record
  • Preferably a CFA holder

Skills and Abilities Required :

  • At least 8 years of experience working in apliance role in a regulated financial institution, preferably with experience in capital markets or asset management
  • Highly experienced and knowledgeable withpliance matters across 2 or more private asset classes
  • Strong technicalpetency in identifying and addressingpliance matters arising from the review of private credit, private equity and real estate deal structures
  • Sound understanding of conflict management matters
  • Hands on experience and knowledge in internalpliance monitoring requirements and practises
  • Knowledge in other regulatory matters or regulatory requirements in other jurisdictions (, market abuse standards, MNPI rules, fair allocation, valuation standards) are advantages
  • Proactive management approach, including effective upward management
  • Excellentmand in English
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent team orientation
  • Self-motivated, highly detail oriented, display good judgment and logical decision making apart from highly developed technical skills
  • Have strong sense of ownership spirit, and able to work independently
  • Possess multi-tasking skills and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
