One of the Global market leader of microphones and audio electronics, is now seeking an System Engineer - Infrastructure to join their professional team in Hong Kong.
Responsibilities
- carrying out tier 1 and tier 2 support such as triage, troubleshooting, system administration, as well as with basic server and network knowledge to perform and deliver global infrastructure projects, deployments and upgrades
- Provide day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop systems, workstations, servers and network issues in a heterogeneous environment
- Support global projects and initiatives for servers, database, network and telephony
- Ensure and enforce the hardware and software in accordance with the global approved standards and keep the working tools assigned to users are in good conditions
- Create and maintain all documentation to include inventory, configuration, procedures and drawings as they relate to the Asia region IT Infrastructure
- Work independent with users and IT counterparts
- Provide support in IP based PBX, phones and call routing
- Provide Video / Audio conferencing support
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and perform vendor management to provide IT support in region
- Provide training / briefing of new tools to users if necessary
- Handle ad hoc projects and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Diploma holder or above in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline; holder of MCP / MCSE / CCNA certification is an advantageMinimum 3 years IT relevant experience in MNC environment in capacity of desktop / systems / network / IP PBX / Active Directory support and administrationHands-on experience and strong troubleshooting skills in operating systems (MS Windows and OSX), Networking, router and firewall, VPN, WAN / LAN, Windows patching and virus spread handlingBasic knowledge and concept of ITIL frameworkStrong organizational skills and sense of responsibility, with the ability to manage multiple requests proactively and simultaneouslyExperience in supporting remote offices (especially China) without local IT personnelExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese with strong communication and problem solving skills. Mandarin is a plusOccasional travel is required
