Job Responsibilities :
The Inclusive Education Aide is to support an individual Primary School student in class and during non-structured times at school. He / She has to work closely with the student's teachers, parents and the Li Ren team to implement the individualized support plan;
Build strong rapport and positive relationship with the identified student;
Help or teach the student to communicate his / her emotions and needs using appropriate means;
Support class teachers in the implementation of differentiated learning and support strategies;
Support class teachers in the implementation of differentiated learning and support strategies;
Work in partnership with Teachers and Li Ren to implement aspects of learning plans for the student;
Communicate regularly with Assistant Principal Primary, Li Ren and Teachers, and also with parents;
Document the students' progress clearly and participate in the case review actively making suggestions;
Respect confidentiality and be diligent on the information sharing or release when working with different people; and
Attend case conference and meetings as required, and actively seek in house Professional Development or professional learning opportunities in the field of learning diversity.
Requirements :
Adequate knowledge in inclusive education and training in specialized intervention, for instance, Applied Behavioral Analysis, social thinking, sensory integration, etc.;
Experience working with students with diverse learning needs;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, i.e. be able to relate well with the student, Teachers and parents;
Demonstrate the flexibility and adaptability to sensibly adjust the intensity of support required in class; and
Empathic understanding, hardworking and patient.
Preferred : Fluent in English and Chinese (Putonghua) communications;
