Responsibilities
- Advise expatriate clients on their Australian tax obligations, including residency status, tax planning, and structuring strategies.
- Prepare and review non-resident individual tax returns to ensure accuracy,pliance, and tax efficiency.
- Interpret and apply Double Tax Agreements (DTAs) to optimize client oues and reduce tax exposure.
- Represent clients in correspondence with the ATO, managing audits, inquiries, and resolution of tax matters.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal mortgage and advisory teams on integrated expat financial solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Australian tax laws and international regulations relevant to expats.
- Support internal development by mentoring team members and contributing to knowledge resources and best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant.5 years' work experience with at least 2 years of Australian tax experience.Experience with non-resident or expatriate clients is preferred.Background from Big Four is an advantage.CPA qualified or actively working towards certification.Proven expertise in tax residency rules, withholding tax obligations, and international taxpliance.Direct experience liaising with the ATO on expat or cross-border tax matters.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.Job ID JN -052025-1982217
