Summary
Within, Operations, Premises & Country COOs (OPC) based in Hong Kong, Capital Market Operations (CMO) teams are responsible to process the transaction activities for Credit, Rates, FX / MM, Securities and Equities for multiple geographies (APAC and EMEA). There are 2 teams under CMO HK in charge of :
Capital Market Middle Office (CMM)Capital Market Back Office (CMB)Capital Market Middle Office team in HK is around 40 staffs and 6 sub-teams :
MO Sales and Client Services : In charge of deals originated by Sales including Trade validation, allocations, MTM reporting and collateral managementMO IRD / EIS : In charge of Interest Rate and Equity DerivativesMO FX / MM / Credit : In charge of Foreign Exchange, Money Market and CreditsMO Post Trade : In charge of the processing activities from FO systems to BO systemsMO Reconciliation : In charge of the various reconciliation (FO-BO; FO-FO,…)MO MDA : In charge of Market Data activitiesThis role is within the Middle Office dealing with Vanilla and Exotic Rates Derivatives.
The position is based in Hong-Kong. You will report locally to the Head of Capital Markets Middle Office.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Processing & Monitoring
Provide support to Front Office business lines under Global Markets Division during Asian trading hoursEnsure transactional integrity across trading applicationsPerform booking control, trade modification, cancellation, and / or trade event processing (ie : early termination, partial termination, unwind) sent by back office or front office upon trading approval and report profit and loss impact, if anyProvide an efficient post-trade support by ensuring trade information flows efficiently through deal processing from front office to back office system and front-office to front office systemInvestigate and follow-up of breaks sent by back office, front office and other internal departmentsSupport local business development and volume increaseManage operational risks efficiently and towards a 0 incident goal and escalate without delay to management on any unusual activity or issuesInitiate change to improve team organization, including but not limited to process change, internal workflowTransversal and Managerial responsibilities
Assist to define and produce KPIs in order to monitor and benchmark effectiveness of the teamEnsure the controls and procedures are developed to support the business and reduce operational risksAct as a point of contact for the introduction of new products and ensure that procedures are in place to correctly book and manage these transactionsParticipate to all projects impacting your perimeterDevelop strong relationship with different stakeholders globalPersonal data provided by job applicants will be used strictly in accordance with the employer’s personal data policies, a copy of which will be provided immediately upon request

Candidate criteria
Minimal education level
Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
Academic qualification / Speciality
University Degree holder from discipline in Finance, Mathematics or Engineering
Level of minimal experience
6-10 years
Experience
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Middle Office environment is necessary, minimum 3 years of previous Managerial experience

Comfortable with multi-tasking, project management and able to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong attention to details and a self-starter who is highly motivatedGood judgement, alertness and common senseGood analytical, communication, organizational and interpersonal skillVersatile with PC tools and applications, e.g. MS Office, VBATechnical skills required

Fluency in English. Proficient in French or other Asian languages a definite advantage
