HQ Brands Team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Vice President, Brands (Festive-focused Brand Marketing) to join the Brands team. As a key member of the global brands team, you will lead strategic brand-building and consumer engagement initiatives specifically for identified key festivals. This includes planning, developing, implementing, executing, and measuring festival campaigns for the Shangri-La Group.
You will guide teams to deliver engaging branded content, products, and experiences that align with Shangri-La's brand purpose across all consumer touchpoints for key festivals. Collaborating with commercial and operational leaders, you will identify opportunities to enhance the brand experience throughout the customer journey, driving consumer preference and business growth through data-driven insights and an understanding of consumer needs and industry trends.
As a vital gatekeeper of the brand, you will ensure that these seasonal initiatives are on-brand. You will work closely with internal stakeholders from HQ and regional teams, as well as collaborate with suppliers and vendors, to build a comprehensive omnichannel festival campaign strategy that fulfills our brand promise.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the development and implementation of brand-building and consumer engagement initiatives across Shangri-La for key identified festivals. Collaborate with teams to create global marketing playbooks, campaign assets, and guidelines to support key initiatives at global, regional, and hotel levels.
- Oversee the development and launch of retail consumer festival products, including food and beverage, beauty and personal care, home fragrances, lifestyle accessories, and gifts.
- Identify and establish brand partnerships that enhance awareness and improve brand perception.
- Oversee the execution of projects with internal and external creative partners, ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Effectively communicate the success of key festival marketing initiatives and follow up with relevant teams to ensure implementation and measurement.
- Develop strong internal relationships across regions and departments to ensure successful and impactful launches of brand marketing festival initiatives.
- Manage resources and processes to ensure optimal team performance and budget efficiency, fostering a culture of excellence in partnership and execution.
What we're looking for
At least 12 to 15 years of experience in festival marketing, consumer engagement campaigns, and product development.Expertise in translating brand vision into impactful communication and experiences.Proficient in analysing consumer insights through data and research to guide planning and execution of marketing campaigns across omnichannel touchpoints and influencer marketing.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a deep understanding of branding, business strategy, and how to align brand programs with business objectives.Creative storytelling skills for developing engaging branded content.Proven track record in product merchandising development.Solid experience in planning and executing both quantitative and qualitative consumer research to derive insights that drive decision-making. Capable of creating and managing brand assets, including brand books and collateral.Strong project management skills, with experience coordinating partners and external agencies to exceed expectations.Experience with global-scale projects is essential; familiarity with China and a solid understanding of the Chinese market is advantageous; experience in planning and executing festival campaigns within a world-class consumer goods, luxury, or hospitality company is beneficial.Demonstrates an entrepreneurial mindset, able to adapt to ambiguity and changing priorities while driving projects forward with urgency.Excellent interpersonal skills and organisational savvy to build collaborative relationships and solve complex issues in a demanding environment.Strong people management skills to lead and maximise team performance.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).What we offer
