The Department

The IT Operations and Systems Department provides the Club’s internal and external customers with expected IT System and Services that enable business operations. The Department’s goal is to provide the Club’s IT customers with best in class IT service offerings and experience.

IT Operations and Systems serves as the primary user engagement channel for IT for help and service offerings fulfillment.  Engagement is offered 24x7 via phone, email and direct on-site support.

IT Operations and Systems is the Service owner responsible for; IT Data Computing facilities; production Infrastructure platforms; Incident, Change, Problem, Resilience, Capacity, Configuration, Procurement functions; Service Assurance and Quality management; and Level 1 / 2 system support functions.

The Job

Maintain high system availability for business services that strictly adhered to operation procedures, monitor system and network performance, and ensure all application systems and infrastructures function properly

Provide first line support on systems and network; carry out incident management activities to uphold maximum system uptime to support business operations

Perform end of day file maintenance and data backup for all system

Install or upgrade system software and implement system and network changes

Provide system, network and storage administrations; acquaintance with Club business operations

Review operation procedural manual

About You

• University degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• 3 years of work experience in system / network operations or support field on Cisco equipment; Windows, Linux and VMS operating systems
• Good organisational and problem solving abilities as well as good communication and interpersonal skill
• Willing to work on a 24 / 7 shift roster covering Sundays and public holiday
• Hands-on experience in system / network implementation, server virtualization
• Knowledge in BMC Patrol / Control-M, Openview, VMware, Juniper / Fortinet / Checkpoint Firewall, F5 Load balancer, Huawei switch & router will be an advantage.
• Solid understanding of web monitoring and administration technologies with skills in areas of performance optimization, load balancing and security
• A sound knowledge of project management and relevant experience will be an advantage
