Senior Sales Consultant, Heatwave MySQL

The successful candidate will :

• Customer Engagement : Lead the technical presentation, drive customer workshops and provide deep-dive technical discussion with clients on HeatWave and OCI technologies.
• Drive Adoption and Usage :  Increase usage, identify new HeatWave workload opportunities, enhance customer value, and boost cloud renewals and consumption expansions.
• Deliver Proof-of Concepts : Performing proof of concepts, benchmarks or technical evaluations with clients
• Handle Technical Objections :  Strong technical objection handling skills and experience of deep technical interactions with database and analytics teams
• Building and repeatable cloud solutions
• Collaborate with Teams :  Work with marketing teams to enhance awareness and with sales teams to generate and progress pipelines effectively.
• Support Enterprise Accounts :  Assist in initiating new projects within key accounts, focusing on account-specific use cases and co-developing solutions for production use.
• Provide Training and Support :  Train APAC regional Oracle teams and partners to execute and scale programs successfully.
• Drive Continuous Improvement :  Enhance effectiveness and efficiency, promote knowledge sharing across regional teams, and offer feedback to product development, marketing, and sales teams.
• Customer Success :  Gather and share real customer use cases to inform product development, marketing, and sales efforts. Create compelling customer success stories.
• Performance Tracking :   Measure and track the outcomes of initiatives to assess impact and inform future strategies.
• Technical Expertise : Passionate with hands on experience of MySQL and open source database technologies including database management, data analytics, machine learning, Lakehouse and Gen AI. Skilled in open-source programming languages such as SQL, Python, JavaScript and Java, as well as databases like MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. Hands-on experience on BigQuery, AWS Athena, Databricks or Redshift would be a plus.
• Communication Skills : Exceptional proficiency in English with strong written, oral, presentation, influencing, and negotiation abilities. Capable of engaging with diverse audiences, including DBAs, infrastructure engineers, and executives.
• DBA & Data Analyst Engagement : Experience in Data Analyst engagement, advocacy, evangelism, relations, community building, or technical marketing is advantageous.
• Sales Experience : Proven track record in selling cloud services and application development platforms in India market.
• Customer Focus : Dedicated to fostering strong customer relationships.
• Collaborative Skills : Demonstrated ability to excel both independently and as part of a team. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proactive Attitude : Self-motivated individual adept at task prioritization and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• Academic Qualification : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or related degree.
