Regional VP of Sales / Business Development / Partnership / Sponsorship | media, entertainment, intellectual property

The company is an international intellectual property / brand with spans across media production and distribution, merchandise, entertainment events, etc. With a successful business model and high business revenue in North America, the company is partnering exclusively with us to look for an experienced and dynamic Regional Sales Leader to drive revenue growth for different service lines and product offerings in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Reporting to the Regional COO, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building and maintaining relationships with key clients / partners / sponsors, and developing and managing a team of sales professionals. You will work closely with our events, media and advertising and operations teams to ensure that the solutions meet the needs of the partners and drive value for the business.

about the job.

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive growth across the region for media distribution, media & advertising solutions, event sponsorship, and merchandise and IP licensing offerings
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients / partners / sponsors, and external stakeholders including media companies, etc.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop proposals for new partnerships, sponsorships, and licensing deals
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective go-to-market strategies and campaigns that drive demand for the company's solutions
  • Work closely with the operations teams to ensure that the solutions meet the needs of the clients and deliver exceptional value
  • Manage and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their targets and grow in their roles
  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity, providing insights and recommendations to the leadership team
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences, building the company's profile and expanding our network

skills & experiences required.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in sales / business development / sponsorship / partnerships, preferably in the media / broadcasting / entertainment / advertising industry / IP owners / sponsors (e.g. Bank, Financial Services, FinTech, Insurance, FMCG, etc.)
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Proven track record of negotiating and closing sizable deals
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to assess market trends and competitive activity in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in Chinese (Cantonese / Mandarin) and English
