About the Role
We are partnering with a leading organization to recruit a highly experienced Project Director to oversee large-scale civil and building construction projects in Hong Kong. This is a senior leadership position requiring a Chartered professional with extensive post-qualification experience, strong stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record in delivering complex infrastructure projects.
Candidates with HKID and prior experience in Airport or Mass Rail projects will have a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of major civil, marine and building construction projects, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, budget, and timeline requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for high-profile clients, including government bodies, developers, and key stakeholders, fostering long-term relationships.
- Direct project planning, risk management, resource allocation, and financial oversight to ensure successful execution.
- Provide strategic leadership to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring seamless collaboration between engineers, contractors, and consultants.
- Drive compliance with local regulations and industry best practices, including RPE (Registered Professional Engineer) standards where applicable.
- Proactively identify and resolve project challenges, mitigating risks to maintain project momentum.
- Mentor and develop project teams, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
Chartered status with HKIE (MICE, MIStructE, or equivalent) is mandatory.RPE registration or equivalent professional accreditation is highly desirable.Minimum 20 years of post-chartered experience in large-scale civil / building construction, with a strong portfolio of successfully delivered projects.Prior experience in Hong Kong's construction market is essential; familiarity with Airport Authority or MTRC projects is a significant advantage.HKID holders are preferred.Fluent in English (non-negotiable) ; proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is beneficial.Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Our Client's Offer
