It reports to the Senior Supply Chain Manager of GTR Asia Business Unit. As the team lead of the S&OP demand process, the Demand Planning Manager is responsible for the smooth and effective execution of demand forecasting process and related S&OP activities in Travel Retail Asia. Key objectives include :
a) ensure the accurate and timely compilation of the demand plan in full alignment of business stakeholders
b) setup, drive and execute relevant workflows to ensure necessary internal / external business insights are incorporated into the demand plan
c) lead and facilitate the execution of related S&OP activities to ensure business objectives are met
d) thrive for continuous improvement to achieve overall supply chain efficiency
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Demand Planning
- Lead and drive the demand planning and forecasting process to ensure business demands are communicated accurately and timely to stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with the Commercial and Finance team to align on forecast assumptions and to incorporate business intelligence, commercial strategy and promotion plan into the demand plan as needed
- Fully leverage Anaplan as demand planning tool and its function to better utilize for data visibility and efficiency.
- Manage statistical forecast in the Demand Planning system (Anaplan) with appropriate algorithms or models
- Lead and conduct Demand Review on a regular basis with Commercial and Finance team
- Compile and consolidate demand projections to Supply team for inventory and supply planning
- Compile and consolidate demand projections to Finance team for budgeting and financial estimates
- Proactively manage and coordinate day-to-day demand changes to minimize any detrimental impact on the operation
- Lead NPD processes to verify projected volumes, timings, customer allocations, etc. prior to any projects going live
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
Lead and facilitate across business teams the monthly Sales and Operations Planning process to ensure sufficient supply to meet demand, optimizing operational costs and tracking performance.Develop and prepare regular or ad hoc performance tracking, risks and scenario analysis reports to support business decisionsWork closely with Finance to understand the volume impact on the value, which drives the accuracy of foreastEnsure timely and efficient communication of decisions and follow-ups identified in the S&OP executive meetingLead and manage the product allocation processIdentify issues, develop and implement action plans to close any demand / supply gapsCustomer Engagement
Manage and drive collaborative relationships and processes with key customers to develop joint-forecasting plans to ensure customer insights are articulatedSupport and collaborate with Commercial team in planning meetings with customersDevelop and update demand planning policies and procedures to benchmark industry best practiceProvide education to internal / external stakeholders to ensure planning related obligations and disciplines are understood and metOthers
Operate as the Super User of the Demand Planning system, provide training and system support to business usersTrain, lead and supervise Demand Planner(s) to ensure smooth execution of required tasks and dutiesDevelop collaborative partnerships with internal and external teams to facilitate business deliverySeek and drive continuous improvements in systems and processes to enhance quality, efficiency, cost control and resources optimizationPrepare regular and ad hoc analysis reports, review and interpret data as appropriately.Ad hoc projects or assignments as requiredKey Relationships

Qualifications and requirements
Professional qualification in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related disciplines10+ years relevant working experience in business or supply chain planning with 3+ years at managerial rolesPrevious working experience in FMCG industryProven experience in business and demand planning for Asia Pacific marketsSolid understanding and exposure in S&OP processes and toolsDemonstrated strong aptitude in data analysis, root causes identification and problem solvingAbility to comprehend business requirements and translate into tactics to move forwardExceptional written / verbal communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to build strong relationships across different functions and levelsHigh proficiency in MS office applications, Excel, statistical and BI tools, Anaplan knowledge is a plusAdditional Requirements
Must be willing to travel domestic and internationally on a frequent basis. Estimated travel 15%.
