Job descriptionA professional diploma or a university degree in sports therapy, sports medicine or a relevant discipline; or 8 years musculoskeletal recovery services experience for applicants without equivalent academic qualifications; A minimum of 2 years’ sports relevant working experience for the professional diploma holder, elite athletes services experience is a definite advantage； Able to work in irregular hours and work overseas; Excellent command of both spoken and written English. Ability to speak Cantonese and Putonghua is a definite advantage; and Awareness / knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are an added advantage.
THE JOB
Reporting to the Manager in the Sports Medicine Centre, the Sports Recovery Officer will be responsible for the following duties :
- To provide recovery services for scholarship athletes and to provide overseas on-field support;
- To conduct the injury prevention and rehabilitation program;
- To liaise with coaches and other technical support professionals on elite athletes’ recovery process;
- To conduct research projects and educational programs for elite athletes and coaches, and
- To perform any other appropriate duties as assigned by senior staff.
