Assistant Financial Accountant

We are looking for an Assistance Financial Accountant to join our Account Operation team in Hong Kong . This is a critical role supporting the accounting operations across APAC entities, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including logistics, tax, and commercial to deliver timely and accurate financial outcomes.

You will bring strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Your experience in accounting operations and your collaborative approach will be key to supporting our finance function.

Your Role

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Accounting, your responsibilities includes AR, AP, GL, Treasury and other responsibilities as listed below :

Maintain AR Aging reports and ensure timely collection and reconciliation.

Review and process vendor and employee invoices, and manage expense audits via OpenText / Concur / AppZen.

Oversee intercompany transactions, GL adjustments, VAT filings, and month-end closing activities.

Prepare financial summaries including Inventory Aging, Cash Flow, and Marketing Expense reports.

Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants (e.g., PWC / KPMG) for audit and compliance matters.

Manage treasury functions including weekly payments, bank reconciliations, and foreign currency declarations.

Act as a buyer in the Ariba system and ensure adherence to finance and accounting policies.

Support budgeting and forecasting processes by verifying balance sheet data.

Your Experience

University degree in Accounting or related discipline.

Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and finance.

Experience in the global scientific or pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel; SAP experience is an advantage.

Bilingual in English and Mandarin.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
