To build group wide distribution control standards and monitoring framework for Agency and Banca (Partnership) channel. To generate data driven insights for the LBUs to better manage distribution risk, conduct risk, sales behaviour and drive financial and strategic performance. In doing so, the individual will need to adopt LBU specific approaches as an overlay on the top of overall best practice standards for the group. The role will also drive the change in mind-set of the stakeholders by engaging multi-functional teams at GO as well as at LBU to drive better governance.
Role Responsibilities
- Evaluate and provide recommendations on the LBU’s agency as well as Banca proposals from the perspective of risk to ensure there are appropriate safeguards are in place to minimise uncertainties around financial outcomes.
- Ability to connect business performance KPIs, financial outcomes and channel MAPA to evaluate the full picture along with Conduct risk and Product strategy.
- Co-ordinate with relevant stakeholders within group and LBU to drive the right outcomes as well as appropriate level of visibility to the Group Risk management.
- Support LBUs to build capabilities for distribution governance around risk services and other ad hoc endeavours.
- Provide direct support on regional or LBU sponsored projects or engage other group functions to provide necessary subject matter expertise.
- Demonstrate ability to identify areas of improvement within each of the LBU market channels through risk review and at times support local CROs to present their market specific papers at Group Risk forums.
- Collaborate with Group Audit and Group Compliance on joint initiatives on need basis to generate insights and agree corrective actions thereon.
Role Requirements
8 – 12yr years of experience in life insurance and / or consulting, with some direct exposure to Products management as well as distribution strategy / compensation / risk area.Deeper understanding of technical aspects of channel performance and financial dependencies is a must.Qualified actuary with first line business experience is desirable.Experience of delivering / supporting LBU level Projects, initiatives and strategic deep dives.Excellent people skills, with ability to manage complex stakeholders and maintain Personal integrity.Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.Data analysis and project management experience required. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
