UI Engineer - Capital Markets

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain responsive and intuitive web-based GUIs for trading and analytics platforms
Collaborate closely with traders, quants, and backend developers to deliver real-time, data-rich interfaces
Translateplex business requirements into elegant and performant front-end solutions
Integrate and visualize large datasets using interactive dashboards and charts
Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and usability
Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices
Contribute to UI / UX discussions and help shape the visual language of internal tools

Required Skills & Experience

2+ years of experience in front-end development, preferably in financial services or capital markets

Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3

Hands-on experience with and / or in production environments

Experience with data visualization libraries

Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous data handling

Proficient in working with relational databases (, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and basic SQL

Experience with build tools and version control (Webpack, Git)

Nice to Have

Experience working in a trading floor or front-office environment

Exposure to real-time data visualization and WebSocket integration

Familiarity with TypeScript

Understanding of capital markets products (, equities, FX, derivatives)

Experience with NoSQL databases (, MongoDB)
