Details of the Division and Team :

Structured Trade & Export Finance (STEF) advises on and arranges medium and long-term bilateral and syndicated loans to finance clients’ imports, exports, and investments in both emerging and developed markets. The business collaborates with export credit agencies (ECAs), multilateral and bilateral institutions, as well as private risk insurers (PRIs) to mitigate counterparty risks.

ECA’s buyer’s credit is the major product of STEF, focusing on tied financing of capital goods and related services ordered by foreign buyers. Due to the global economy’s multi-dimensional transformation (energy, supply chains, and commodity security), the demand for untied ECA financing is increasing and getting more relevant.

As part of the STEF global team, the STEF Hong Kong Structuring & Sales Team performs origination and structuring functions (outbound / inbound) in the APAC region and is in coordination with the STEF global team.

The client universe includes corporates, financial institutions, and sovereigns. In close cooperation with Project Finance and Natural Resources Finance, the team also provides comprehensive project finance solutions. Additionally, STEF closely connects with other coverage units and product pillars within the Corporate Bank (CB) and the Investment Bank (IB) to enable cross-selling of risk management, trade finance, agency services, and other lending products.

Your key responsibilities :

Assist in origination, marketing, and lead structuring, executing of new outbound Korean and Sinosure covered transactions, and inbound ECAs transactions in the APAC region.

Works closely with Coverage to maintain close relationship with clients;

Work closely with STEF Global regional team, Coverage, Project Finance, Natural Resources Finance and Trade Finance deal team as required on execution and closing of new outbound Korean and Sinosure covered transactions or inbound ECAs transaction in the APAC region; takes full responsibility as the first line of defence on the assessment and management of financial and non-financial risks.

Assists the STEF APAC regional team on managing and monitoring the ECA loan portfolio, and other internal financial / regulatory reporting requirement.

Prepare marketing materials, take lead in credit analysis and approval process, and analyze financial projection / cash flow model.

Your skills and experience :

Bachelor Degree from renowned university,

Minimum 6 year experience in export finance, structured finance, project finance (or similar) team. .

Capability to manage the end-to-end deal process, coordinating with KYC, legal, compliance, credit risk, internal stakeholders.

Negotiate term sheets, loan documentation, and security packages in alignment with regulatory and commercial requirements.

Financial analysis and financial modeling skills is highly valued.

Fluent in English and Mandarin. Third language is a plus (Korean / Japanese).
