This role is based in our 17 / F, China Resources Building, 26 Harbour Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong office.
JOB SUMMARY :
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to drive marketing efforts for our exhibition portfolio : HOFEX, RBHK, Connect Marketplace, Build4Asia, and Retail Asia Conference & Expo. Reporting to the Senior Portfolio Director and managing a team of marketing professionals, this role will lead brand growth across all five industry events spanning food, construction, and retail sectors. The position requires close partnership with individual Event Managers for each exhibition to ensure seamless execution and strategic alignment.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Strategic Marketing Planning & Portfolio Management
- Develop annual marketing strategies and budgets
- Create integrated marketing calendars optimising events promotion
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis across food, construction, and retail sectors
- Establish KPIs and collaborate with Senior Portfolio Director on business alignment
- Create cross-event synergies & portfolio integration and identify cross-selling opportunities between exhibitions for multi-event participation
Cross-Functional Partnership & Collaboration
Coordinate marketing activities with Event Managers to ensure strategic alignment and operational efficiencyFacilitate regular communication between marketing team and Event ManagersCollaborate on budget allocation, resource planning, and campaign prioritisationSupport Event Managers in achieving their individual event objectives through targeted marketing initiativesDigital Marketing & Multi-Channel Campaigns
Oversee website management, SEO optimisation, and user experience across event sitesDevelop social media strategies tailored to each industry sectorManage email marketing campaigns including newsletters and follow-up sequencesCoordinate paid advertising across Google Ads, LinkedIn, and industry publicationsImplement marketing automation workflows and oversee content creationBrand Management & Communications
Maintain consistent brand identity whilst highlighting unique value propositionsDevelop key messaging frameworks for different audiences and sectorsCoordinate PR activities including press releases and journalist relationsManage brand partnerships and ensure compliance with global brand guidelinesEvent Marketing & On-Site Activation
Plan pre-event marketing campaigns and coordinate on-site branding activitiesManage live event promotion through social media and real-time contentOversee post-event marketing including feedback collection and next event promotionCoordinate with operations teams and Show Leads for seamless event executionVendor Management & External Relations
Coordinate with creative agencies, PR firms, and external vendorsManage technology provider relationships and oversee freelance resourcesNegotiate contracts and manage vendor performance across the portfolioEnsure cost-effective resource allocation across all exhibitionsQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field8+ years of exhibition / trade show marketing experienceProven leadership experience in marketing teamsMulti-sector or multi-event portfolio management experience preferredExperience in food & beverage, construction, or retail industry marketing advantageousProficient in digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and event management platformsExcellent project management and analytical skills with multi-tasking abilitiesCreative problem-solving and strategic thinking across diverse industriesAbility to manage complex, multi-event marketing calendarsStrong leadership and team management capabilitiesExcellent in English, Cantonese, MandarinAdditional Information
