The Role

Job Title : Hardware Tester / Quality Engineer

Location : Hong Kong

We are seeking a Product Quality Engineer with hands-on experience in semiconductor testing and hardware validation , particularly in laptop and embedded computing systems . This role will focus on end-to-end product quality oversight—from New Product Introduction (NPI) through End-of-Life (EOL) —with a strong emphasis on failure analysis, test automation, and cross-functional problem-solving .

You will collaborate with design, test, and manufacturing teams to ensure quality standards are met for SoC / CPU-based products , and support customer escalations through systematic root cause analysis and corrective action implementation .

Key Responsibilities :

• Execute and optimize testing protocols for semiconductor components, SoCs, and computing hardware (e.g., laptops, embedded boards).
• Develop and automate failure analysis (FA) processes for products throughout their lifecycle.
• Perform hands-on debugging and root cause analysis on electrical, thermal, and mechanical failures in both lab and customer-returned units.
• Investigate customer complaints and escalations , providing timely resolution and feedback to internal teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Validation, Manufacturing, Reliability) to define and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) .
• Lead product reliability assessments, qualification tests , and track quality metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support test infrastructure setup , including ATE programming , socket board test validation, and sustaining test environment.
• Ensure product compliance with internal and external quality standards and regulatory requirements.
