Our client , a leading bank, is actively seeking a seasoned accounting and finance expert to join their fast-growing treasury and market team. The candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing business processes and supporting the bank's stakeholders, with a specific focus on the latest treasury product offerings.

Key responsibilities :

Create regular MIS reports and perform General Ledger reconciliations, along with any ad hoc reporting required by the business.

Compile daily Profit and Loss statements for banking, ensuring accurate substantiation.

Propose ideas for optimizing current processes.

Assist in the calculation of valuation reserves.

Engage in various ad hoc assignments to support the operational needs of the department.

Investigate any discrepancies between the General Ledger balance and front office reports.

Support UAT and the implementation or enhancement of finance systems at both local and regional levels.

Assist in evaluating new products and business initiatives.

Review daily transactions to ensure adherence to Group Accounting Standards, including financial asset transfers, securities holding periods, SPPI, hedge accounting testing, and manual voucher preparation and reconciliation.

Provide necessary information to internal and external auditors and regulatory bodies.

Key requirements :

Diploma holder or above in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines.

Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in financial institutions or middle office support in treasury & market.

General financial / accounting knowledge, preferably with product knowledge on forward rates (FX) / interest rates (IR) / equity and derivatives.

Attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills

Proficient in MS Excel (Pivot Table and VBA) with good analytical skills.

A team player with good communication skills.
