Reporting to the Director, Technical Services, we are looking for a seasoned leader to lead the Sustainability team and propel HKSTP towards achieving Net Zero mission by 2035.
The Position
- Formulate comprehensive sustainability strategies and actionable plans to achieve Net Zero targets for HKSTP and its community
- Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), actionable items, timeline, budget and resources required for successful implementation of sustainability initiatives
- Establish success criteria and measurement principles to reach the ultimate goals
- Monitor and report on key sustainability metrics in alignment with industry standards and corporation objectives
- Build processes to engage relevant professionals, stakeholders and collaborate with respective teams / divisions to lead and achieve the Net Zero mission
- Research new technological products and services in sustainability, drive their adoption and test the results before widespread use
- Monitor and devise improvement plans to uphold / enhance various ESG ratings
- Perform any other duties as assigned by senior management
The Candidate
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy, Building Services Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability or a related field. Postgraduate education is preferredMinimum of 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience preferably in energy management, carbon advisory, smart building design and green building certificationDemonstrated track record in managing net zero and carbon neutrality projectsHigher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be consideredMembership of appropriate professional bodies such as HKIE, CIBSE, IMechE or equivalentQualified BEAM Pro / LEED AP certification is essential; additional qualifications such as WELL AP are preferredBEAM Plus and LEED working experience using latest schemes for new and existing buildings are highly desirableStrong leadership and project management abilities, with a collaborative approach and passion for driving change in sustainabilityA proactive and strategic thinker committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship and a team player who thrives in a dynamic environmentExcellent communication skills in both English and Chinese, with the ability to engage diverse audiencesWhat We offer
