Responsibilities
1st year :
- Assist the Lawyers in the Legal team in respect of over–the–counter (“OTC”) derivative, prime brokerage and cash transactions (including transactions in respect of equity, rates, foreign exchange and credit
- Review and draft documentation (both for derivative / prime brokerage / cash transactions and ancillary documents), and arranging execution of the above transactions and matters
- Assist with related processes and reporting
- Contact relevant internal stakeholders as appropriate
2nd year :
For the second year, progress to the development is to be given more complicated matters and working with more autonomy.What We Offer

The Trainee role is a full time 24-month contract with Societe Generale where you will have access to a diverse range of training materials to help you succeed, covering various aspects of businesses, including but not limited to technical skills, leadership development, communication skills, client service and relationship management. To be eligible, please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of Trainee contract.
Profile required
Hold a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Law (Hong Kong or Commonwealth qualification)Graduates with some working experience gained from other sectors are also welcomedHave good communication skillsA Level (or equivalent) with a mathematics component favouredIT Skills – Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and OutlookPrevious work experience with emphasis on attention to details and accuracyExcellent command of (i) spoken and written English and (ii) written Traditional ChineseCandidates with 2026 or later training contract ("TC") offer are also welcomeBehavioral Skills
