The Department
HK Membership Development Department is responsible to establish a holistic, long-term strategy for Membership Development in HK, addressing ideal future target Member profile, the product strategy and their ongoing customer journey in support of the strategic priority of ‘Cultivating New Members’ under the Membership, Strategic Marketing and Branding Division.
The job holder reports directly to Senior Manager, Hong Kong Membership Development Manager. HK Membership Development Manager plays a crucial role in developing and expanding the corporate membership base by acquiring new corporate members and establishing strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, including C-level executives. The primary responsibility is to drive business growth for membership and other areas within the club. By effectively prospecting, nurturing leads, and showcasing the value of membership, the HK Membership Development Manager contributes to the overall success and growth of the club
The Job
You will :
- Develop and execute strategic sales plan and activities to achieve corporate membership acquisition targets and business objectives.
- Identify, target and acquire potential corporate clients, including but not limited to large corporations, reputable and financially sound or emerging enterprises, and organizations from Hong Kong or the Greater Bay Area (with incorporated presence in Hong Kong).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders (including C-levels) in the corporate sector.
- Perform account and relationship management functions for existing corporate members to ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
- Plan, execute and participate in events aimed at both prospective and existing members, with the purpose of prospecting new members and fostering a sense of community.
- Conduct research and monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including membership administration, membership experience programming, racing sponsorship, catering and events, ownership to ensure seamless customer experience and maximize spend opportunities.
- Track spending activities, analyze member’ interests and spending trend data, and generate reports to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement to better engage members.
- Stay informed about current events and market condition that may impact sales strategies and approaches.
- Support on any adhoc projects related to membership development.
- Identify and participate in relevant networking events to expand business network and prospecting opportunities.
About You
You should have :
Education : Hold a degree in Business administration, Marketing or hospitality disciplines.Experience : Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with a proven track record of achieving business growth and meeting sales targets.Communication and Presentation Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey business propositions and deliver presentations.Sales and Closing Skills : Exhibit the ability to identify client buying needs, initiate and manage sales processes, effectively handle sales pipelines, and successfully close deals.Industry knowledge : Have an in-depth understanding of the corporate sales landscape, market trends, and competitor analysis.Market Research and Analysis : Strong analytical skills to conduct market research, analyze data, and identify potential business opportunities and target markets.Collaboration : Possess the ability to collaborate effectively within the team and across cross-functional teams, fostering a cooperative environment to align efforts and maximize sales opportunities.Relationship building : Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external clients, partners, and other stakeholders.Customer-centric approach : Dedication to delivering exceptional customer experiences, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term client retention.Problem-Solving : Demonstrate an aptitude for identifying and solving problems, addressing challenges effectively.Adaptability : Exhibit flexibility in working within a complex and dynamic environment, showcasing a willingness to embrace new approaches and adapt to changing market conditions. Proficiency in other dialects is a bonus.Technology proficiency : Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software, Sales Tools (LinkedIn & Sales Navigator) and Microsoft Office, including proficiency in managing sales activities, generating reports, and leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency.Terms of Employment
