Role Summary

Bowtie’s mission is to make insurance good again and our vision is to build a category-defining health insurance company.

As the Head of Valuation, you are will lead the reserving, financial reporting, and actuarial valuation functions for Bowtie. This role ensures accurate liability measurements and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., IFRS 17, HKRBC), providing key insights into the company’s financial health.

Your  Key Responsibilities Include :

1. Reserving & Financial Reporting

• Lead the monthly and annual reserve valuation process for all lines of business (Life, Health, Protection, Group, Reinsurance).
• Ensure reserves are set in compliance with IFRS 17 and local statutory requirements .
• Prepare and present actuarial reserve reports to senior management, auditors, and regulators.
• Work closely with Finance & Risk teams to align reserving assumptions with financial projections.
• Support external audits and regulatory filings , acting as the key actuarial contact for auditors and regulators.

About you

You have deep technical expertise in insurance reserving, actuarial modeling, and financial reporting , along with strong leadership skills to guide the valuation team.
