Job Summary
- The Financial Solutions product line is one of the key building blocks in SCOR L&H. We help clients to manage their solvency, balance sheet and financial needs.
- In this role you will contribute to growing the Financial Solutions line profitably, by marketing to and winning deals from clients in the Asia Pacific region. You will also contribute to the structuring, pricing and modelling of financially motivated solutions and build your expertise in this fast-paced and dynamic area.
Key duties and responsibilities
Perform product modeling and pricing reviewsSupport structuring and modeling solutions to address clients’ needsBe comfortable in presenting and negotiating commercial termsContribute to the growing knowledge base and possess solid understanding of various financially motivated solutions sets, accounting standards, solvency regimes and relevant regulations in active countries in the regionWork closely with marketing actuaries in the country locations who will source the business from clientsWork with pricing actuaries in the region on actuarial assumptions, where necessaryMaintain interaction with other departments across SCOR Global Life Asia-Pacific (e.g. legal, risk, finance, accounting and business development) in order to contribute to multi-function projectsRequired experience & competencies
Experience : 3-5 years experience of Actuarial, Risk Management and Mathematics or related programsKnowledge or experience in product pricing and cash flow modelling is highly preferredGood understanding of accounting standards (e.g. IFRS 4), solvency regimes (e.g. Solvency II, RBC, etc.), financial reporting, valuation, MCEV, and ALM will be an assetAwareness of detailed implications of emerging insurance capital and accounting standards for the life insurance industry is preferredExposure to structured reinsurance concepts is highly preferredRequired Education : Fellow or associate of one of the following actuarial associations – Society of Actuaries, Institute of Faculty of Actuaries, Institute of Actuaries of Australia is highly preferredPersonal Competences : Innovative and creativeProficient in Microsoft suite office and ProgrammingComfortable with dynamic and fast paced work environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsFast learner, highly numerate and analyticalSelf-motivated and reliable individualTeam playerCustomer centric - would be able to communicate effectively in client meetings to technical specialists and generalists at all levels
