Description
As a Business Development Coordinator, you'll play a key role in driving our firm's growth and visibility in the dynamic Asia market. In this exciting entry-level position, you'll dive into researching existing and prospective clients, analyzing competitor activities, and uncovering market trends to fuel strategic opportunities. You'll support the creation of compelling pitch materials, RFPs, and presentations for the firm's capital markets, M&A, and litigation practices, ensuring our offerings stand out.
By tracking pitch activities and maintaining a library of marketing materials and templates, both online and offline in order to keep the brand polished. Collaborating with our Hong Kong and Beijing teams, you'll assist in drafting thought leadership content, updating lawyer biographies, and supporting the submissions for awards, directories, and rankings. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented, proactive individual eager to learn and make an impact in a fast-paced, international setting.
While pitches, RFPs, communications, ranking submissions are core responsibilities of the role, you'll also support the firm's events. This includes curating invitation lists, sourcing venues and gifts, negotiating contracts, and handling post-event follow-ups to strengthen client relationships.
Profile
The ideal candidate for the Events Specialist role should possess excellent organizational and project management skills, along with strong written and verbal communication abilities in both English and Chinese. You must be adept at working confidently and collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization, maintaining professional composure in high-pressure situations and a fast-paced, multi-authority environment. You should be highly motivated, responsive, and conscientious, with a commitment to delivering excellent client service. Additionally, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and a sharp eye for detail are crucial.
Experience with legal-research or legal-news databases such as Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ, Refinitiv, Pitchbook, Mergermarket, and Deal Point will be advantageous. Familiarity with CRM programs like InterAction or Vuture is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word). The candidate should have a background in business development or marketing within a professional services environment, ideally with one to two years of experience or as a fresh graduate with internship expereince in the professional firm / law firm setting.
