Job description

We are looking for a talented kitchen staff for a crucial role in a professional kitchen.

Responsibilities :

  • To assist the Executive Chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations, including, but not limited to, preparation and production of all food quality and presentation, compliance with all safety and sanitation standards and regulations, team member productivity and performance, implementation of policies and procedures, cost controls and overall profitability.
  • To create and implement menu selections with the Executive Chef.
  • To manage food ordering and inventory control to maintain optimum ingredients and stock in the kitchen.
  • To assist food cost management and production control for reducing wastage
  • To assist in monitoring and developing team members’ performance, providing supervision, assisting with evaluations, training, scheduling, and assigning work

Requirements :

  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience with the same position in Fine dining and Michelin Star restaurant specializing in Western cuisine.
  • Higher Diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
  • Proven experience in the Sous Chef role.
  • Proven managerial abilities in people management, strategic planning, and decision-making
  • Proficiency in using computer software to monitor inventory, track staff schedules, and pay and perform other record-keeping tasks
  • In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and nutrition.
  • Creative and quality-oriented team player, hard worker, good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced, production environment.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese.
